Deflated but NOT Defeated

Unfortunately due to a miscommunication the Arizona Bar Committee on Examinations did not receive my evidence of graduation. As a result I am not eligible to sit for the July 24-25 Arizona Bar Examination. I will still be taking the MPRE Aug 10 and will be able to register for the Feb 26-27 Bar Exam shortly thereafter. As I ultimately should have done in the first place I will ensure that my file and application are complete this time around...

This among other things has thrown me for a bit of a loop. However, I continue on undaunted. I will use the intervening time to my advantage by finding gainful and applicable employment. Doing so will put me in a more stable position from which to look for career employment. If done properly I may find that working in the legal profession in any capacity may lead to the aforementioned employment opportunities. It will also keep me from having to worry about defaulting on those mortgage size student loans...

The best bet is to always roll with the punches. So for now I end this 99th post and leave you to read the other 98 below...

Worthy of note...

BE IT KNOWN ON THIS DAY IN THE YEAR 1980 WE WERE FIRST GRACED BY THE PRESENCE OF ALISHA MARIE SYRMOPOULOS. MOTHER OF ISAIAH, DAUGHTER OF STEVE&DIANE, GRANDDAUGHTER OF TED&ALICE AND FRANK&MARCY, SISTER OF AARON AND JASON. LOVED BY MANY ADMIRED BY ALL. MAY YOU EXPERIENCE ALL THE JOY THAT YOU SO RICHLY DESERVE IN LIFE.

I know some people have been wondering why there have been no recent posts. Well, frankly I'm on vacation here people. Yes I do have some good stories, ask me in person sometime...

You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em. You gotta know when to walk away, know when to run. Some things are better kept close to the vest...

THIS GETS ALL BOLD AND CAPS. I RECENTLY INCURRED A CHARGE FROM THE ARIZONA STATE SUPREME COURT. IT WAS A CHARGE I WAS MORE THAN HAPPY TO GET. IT WAS THE $695 FEE TO SIT FOR THE ARIZONA BAR EXAM. IT IS NOW OFFICIAL...

Don't expect to hear from me till mid-August. The real celebration won't come till mid-October when I get those passing results. So to answer Blum's incessant question, "No but my application has been accepted"...

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages, step right up this may be the one...

Ghosts of Abu Ghraib on HBO

I don't have a lot to say I just wanted to encourage people to watch an HBO documentary Ghosts of Abu Ghraib. I caught a few seconds of it earlier this evening but it was on mute while I was otherwise occupied. I didn't really see enough to catch what they were saying. Well HBO being what it is replayed the show 3 hours later when I was actually watching...

I spent the first 20 minutes saying to myself "These pansy-assed-bleeding-heart liberals don't understand that war is ugly. Like Jack Nicholson said in A Few Good Men "YOU WANT THE TRUTH??? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!"...

I spent the next hour questioning my stance on the issue. Just because something is done in the name of freedom and justice does't make it right. We must all take responsibility for our actions. All I can do is live the life of a just man and encourage other to do the same by example...

Up and Coming...

Just a quick post to boast a bit. I recently got my grades back from last semester and earned a 3.0. Today they released our class rankings. For the first time, since my first year here, I am NOT in the bottom 10% of my class...

It's not Summa Cum Laude but it was my best semester so far and I'm in freakin' law school for goodness sakes...

Holding January

OK I think my last meaningful post was some time back in October so I just need to get this out of the way. This may be my worst post ever but it's just to catch up. Like Spencer said "just let it go man..."

I spent Thanksgiving in Milwaukee, WI with Rob and Ashley. They are doing well and as always it was great to see them. Rob is almost half way through med school and Ashley is back in school. Most importantly they are happy together...

I went back to AZ for winter break, which was only 13 days long. I got to see my grandma on my mom's side and my papou(grandpa) on my dad's side. Even though they both live thousands of miles away from AZ they were both there at the same time...

After break I came back to NY for a 10 day Trial Techniques class. Having break cut short was no fun but the class was worth it. Then it was straight into the Spring Semester, but not before getting my grades back from last semester. I got a 3.0 which was my best semester to date...

Which brings me to where I am now which is in the midst of my last semster of law school. I can't believe it's finally here. Now comes the scary part, getting back into the real world...
